Tegan was 2 years old in 2011 when she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The first few months were full of complications and hospital stays. Everything from a blood clot to infections to blood pressure issues. Throughout treatment she also struggled with neuropathy and weakness in her legs. She continues to struggle with the leg weakness, 5 years out of treatment, as well as some increased anxiety in her everyday life. Tegan completed 26 months of treatment a month before her 5th birthday. She doesn’t let her diagnosis define her now at 10 years old. She is a competitive rhythmic gymnast, loves practicing drama, hanging out with her friends, and eating pasta! She is such a joy and we are so thankful she is here!
